Mr Fergus Cloughley Chief Executive Officer Stroma Software (UK) Limited
An entrepreneur for fifteen years, Fergus has established a successful track record of founding technology companies and designing high-impact IT solutions.
Fergus's early career established him as an expert in the interaction between Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Process Control systems to provide real-time business data for the Oil and Gas industry. His consultancy practice, Kinetic Information Management Ltd., enabled clients like Shell, Exxon and in particular British Petroleum to maximize business value from their data.
Fergus fulfilled many technical and project management roles within BP, most notably in the billion dollar Olefins expansion project that lasted for a seven year period. At a senior management level he successfully managed relationships with partners including Schlumberger, Honeywell, Foster Wheeler, Stone & Webster, AutoCAD, Rebis, and Bentley. The project increased the ethylene output revenue of the plant ten-fold to over $2,300,000 per day.
During 1999, Fergus co-founded e-Kinetic Ltd, raising seed funding of $200,000. The company was commissioned by blue chip clients, including Halliburton, BP and Shell, on various IT projects, ranging from Process Control Data Modeling to e-commerce design and installation.
It became apparent to Fergus that the rigorous engineering approach to the management of operational and business data used in the Oil & Gas sector was not universally applied in other business sectors/markets. To exploit this opportunity during 2001 he became co-founder of Cassini Software Limited and co-architect of Cassini's Propono technology.
Fergus lives in Falkirk, Scotland.
