Talk:Fernão do Pó
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I changed this entry from 'Fernão da Pó' to 'Fernão do Pó'. I have not yet done anything like an exhaustive search; but from what I have examined thus far (incl. the Encyclopedia Britannica), I have only seen the name with 'do'. I decided to start making this change now since the article is being expanded, and the addition of more links would only make the matter of renaming the article more difficult later on. If anyone has any documentation of the name being listed with 'da', please share it here. Thanks, S. Neuman 15:42, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
- I'd swear it can't be "da", for "pó" is masculine (I'm a Portuguese native speaker). 194.65.103.1 17:11, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Discoverer?
I doubt that he was the discoveror of Bioko, as it must be visible from the mainland. (Both the island and Mt Cameroon are very high.) As for the other islands, St. Thomas, Prince and Annobom, alright they're too far to be seen from shore or found by coastal vessels. 194.65.103.1 17:11, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
