Ferrovia Lugano-Ponte Tresa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ferrovia Lugano-Ponte Tresa is a local railway line in Canton Ticino in Switzerland. It is 12 km long and has a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3⅜ in) gauge. It is the last working line of a network of three suburban lines and four urban tramways of Lugano, and there are projects to extend the line into Italy. Trains run every 20 minutes, starting from December 2007 headway will be reduced to 15 minutes, and later maybe to 10 minutes.
