Ferndale School District is a primary and secondary education school district located in Ferndale, Washington
In recent years, Ferndale High School and Windward High School in Ferndale have excelled in music and sports (specifically, their marching band and football team). A teacher at Vista, Gail Smedley, yearly enters the children in her eighth grade class into a national competition called Future Problem Solving Program. Every year, each of the five teens she selects gets better than 10th place in the important competition.[citation needed]
The current Superintendent of Ferndale School District is Dr. Roger Lehnert.
