Ferndale Baptist Church is a Baptist Union affiliated church in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
The church's pastor is Stephen Dray, who edits the Christian Journal 'Evangel', and who is a regular contributor to Evangelicals Now.
The church is well known[citation needed] for its annual 'FutureFaith' conferences, where well known evangelical Christians give lectures on their perception of the future of Christianity[citation needed]. Previous speakers have included theologians J.I. Packer, I. Howard Marshall, Daniel Strange of Oak Hill Theological College and John Wilks of the London School of Theology.
In 2006, the church was involved in ensuring the continuing survival of a community hall on the nearby St Luke's estate.[1][dead link]
