Fernando Rodés Vilà

Fernando Rodés Vilà is the CEO of Havas.

Born in Barcelona, he is the son of Leopoldo Rodés Castañe, the founder of Media Planning S.A., a Spanish media buying agency with operations in Spain and the Americas, and currently Chairman of the Board of Havas Media. After training in economics and several jobs in the banking sector, Rodes was appointed CEO of Media Planning S.A. in 1994.

In 1999, Rodes became CEO of the Media Planning Group (MPG), a venture formed by Havas and other investors by rolling up Media Planning S.A. and other companies. Havas took over all of MPG in 2001. Later he became Executive VP of Havas Advertising.

Rodes became Vice Chairman of Havas in 2005 and CEO in 2006.
