Fernando Perez (baseball)

Fernando Perez (April 28, 1983) is an Outfielder in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he is currently a member of the Durham Bulls. Perez is known for his amazing speed on the bases and is considered one of the fastest guys in Profesional Baseball.

Perez went to Columbia University for two years before being selected by the Rays in the 7th Round (195th Overall) of the 2004 MLB Draft.

He played in 2004 for the Hudson Valley Renegades in the short-season New York-Penn League, in 2005 for the Southwest Michigan Class A team, in 2006 for the Visalia Oaks and in 2007 for the Montgomery Biscuits.
