Fernando "Cobo" Pereira (born 1963?) is a major in the military of São Tomé and Príncipe; he "is of mixed Cape Verdian and Angolar descent."[1] He led a coup against the elected government of Fradique de Menezes on July 16, 2003, but relinquished power on July 23 as part of an agreement.[2]

Pereira is the father of ten children.[1]
