Fernando Alvarez Bada is a Mexican-Asturian soccer player (born June 18, 1977). Goalkeeper of the Rio Covadonga team, he was considered "Most Valuable Player" at the Centro Asturiano de México for the seasons 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. His playing style has been frequently compared with that of René Higuita at the local press [1]. Recently he has undertaken several entrepreneurial activities in the Mexican turistic sector.
