Fernanda Torres

Fernanda Pinheiro Monteiro Torres (born September 15, 1965 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian movie, theatre and television actress. She is the daughter of the Oscar-nominated actress Fernanda Montenegro and the director Fernando Torres.
In 1986 she received an award in the Cannes Festival as Best Actress for Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar. She was only 20 years old.
She is married to movie producer and director Andrucha Waddington, who directed her alongside Fernanda Montenegro in the 2005 film Casa de Areia. They have one son together, Joaquim (b. 2000).
In 2003, she wrote her first script (O Redentor, 2004), with her brother's assistance, cinematographer Cláudio Torres.
