Fern Rock is a neighborhood in the North Philadelphia district of the United States city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, situated between Olney Avenue and Oak Lane. The northern terminus of the Broad Street Line subway is located in Fern Rock at the Fern Rock Transportation Center. Four SEPTA Regional Rail lines also run through this station.

The neighborhood is named after the ancestral estate of Elisha Kent Kane, a renowned arctic explorer and naval surgeon from Philadelphia.

Fern Rock received national attention from a much-discussed double murder in September 2006, when a couple was coming home at night and found a woman being raped in their driveway. The woman and couple attempted to flee, but the assailant shot all three, killing the couple. CourtTV news
