[edit] In the news

On February 20, 2008, the school drew national attention as the school was placed in lockdown and the building searched after a student reported seeing a man with a weapon.[1] A spokeswoman for the Jefferson County public schools reported that a student thought she saw the man with a weapon speaking to two other people in the school cafeteria.[2] Students were kept in their classrooms while the building was searched. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.[2]
