[edit] Campus

Fern Bluff Elementary School is one of the 30 elementary schools of the Round Rock Independent School District. The school is located in the Fern Bluff MUD just west of Round Rock, TX. [2] The school is named after the neighborhood which it serves along with the Oaklands. Fern Bluff feeds to Chisholm Trail Middle School which then feeds to Round Rock High School along with Bluebonnet, Deepwood, and Wells Branch [3]

[edit] History

Fern Bluff was built in 1991 to relieve Deepwood of the students from the Oaklands and Fern Bluff. In the 1997 bond, 16 class rooms were added to accommodate growth from Stone Canyon.[4]

[edit] Awards and Recognition

The campus meets the "Exemplary" state performance rating.[5] Since 1995, Fern Bluff has been rated Exemplary.[6] In 2001, the school was recognized as a National School of Excellence by the US Department of Education. Fern Bluff also recognized as a Texas Blue Ribbon School in 2001.[7]
