Fergus Nicoll

Fergus Nicoll is a BBC journalist, author and news presenter with the BBC World Service. Currently he is one the presenters of The World Today.

He began his career with the BBC in 1988 with the Africa Service. He moved to the BBC's Cairo Bureau in 1992. In 2004 he published a biography of the Mahdi of Sudan, "The Sword of the Prophet". His second book, "The Life of the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan", is due out in 2008.
