The article Thompson Solutions has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:43, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] James Thompson

Hi no worries, I see that someone else has already moved the article now. I have though also removed the "uncatgorized" tag now as some categories have been added. These articles might be of help to you WP:CITE WP:HOW and WP:BETTER, and of course if you need any help or advice just let me know. Have fun! ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 15:38, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi thanks for your message. I'm not sure what the policy is about whether the title should contain researcher or inventor. I will though try to find out.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 18:27, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I see that you have added an internal wikilink again in the external links section after I revereted your previous edit. I explained in the edit summary and will do so again here, that External links are specifically for just that - external links and not links to articles on wikipedia.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 21:13, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

No worries, wikipedia can be a very odd place to say the least at first sight and it can (no,not can, does!) take time to get used to how to edit on here. Just be patient and put up with people like me pointing out stuff that isn't right and you will get there in the end! The best way which I should have said to add links to other articles on wikipedia is either to incorporate it into the actual article, or if that can't be done then add a "See also" section and add a wikilink to the other article.

Like this -

==See also== *[[Blackpool F.C.]] (though on two lines not one!)

which makes this -

[edit] See also

Such fun hey!♦Tangerines♦·Talk 21:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, Tangerines! The update looks great. I am collecting more refs & sources. Was wondering if the article is still "orphaned"? Maybe the tag could be removed now? Also: the article title is "JT (researcher)" -- I suggest we change that to "inventor", as written under Categories. What do you think? When I search "James Thompson" on the main wikipedia page, this article is not included on the list of the +/- 24 JT articles. Is this something that I can set up, or better said: how does the article show up on the search results listing? Fenimore (talk) 10:55, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] James Thompson (researcher)

I was wondering, why did you remove B/E Aerospace from the list of Thompson's customers? My link that I had stated that B/E Aerospace is indeed a customer. ANDROS1337 17:20, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Thompson Solutions manufactures seat components for B/E, not the other way around. You had written: "James Thompson's seat designs are manufactured through contracts with Contour Premium Aircraft Seating, B/E Aerospace, and Sicma Aeroseat", which is incorrect.
