• Fenland is also low area of ground that becomes wet and consists of mainly grasses, much like a marsh area. They are often called the Fens in eastern England where the term originates.

The half hour Fenland Trail offers beautiful views of a unique environment with Cascade Mountain (Alberta) in the background .

• The town of Banff, Alberta inside of Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies has a trail known as the Fenland. It is a 2 km hike with eight stations explaining the area. The trail head is at the Forty Mile Creek picnic area and an elevation of 1380m.
