Fender Tremolux

The Fender Tremolux was a guitar amplifier made by Fender. It was introduced in the summer of 1955. The Tremolux was the first Fender amp with built in effect, which was tremolo. In 1957 the power rating of the Tremolux was increased from 15 watts to 18 watts. In 1961 the Tremolux was changed from a 1x12 tweed covered combo amp to a 1x10 piggyback amp and was covered with white tolex. In 1962 the 10 inch speaker was replaced with two 10 inch speakers. In 1964 the white tolex was replaced with black tolex. The Tremolux was discontinued in the summer of 1966.
