Porn person's name (born as real name and/or known as other well known aliases). Describe the person's ethnicity and other notable works, if applicable. You may do so all in one sentence, if you can. Try to be as succinct and direct as possible, do not try to litter the introduction to the article with bloated and extraneous verbiage.

[edit] Biography

Type in a biography using your own verbiage to avoid any conflicts. Use official sources, such as the person's official website(s), the Internet Movie Database, and the Adult Film Database. If they're a Playboy, Hustler, or Penthouse model, for example, you can use the information provided in those magazines as primary source material.

Interviews with websites can also yield information not otherwise found in "official" bios, although the information provided in them can be considered official and factual.

The biography should be ordered from the date of birth and onward to present day. (i.e. 1980 --> 2005)

As usual, avoid value judgments and retain a Neutral Point of View. Do not use vulgarity or sexually extremely explicit terminology. If you're unsure of what terminology to use, do a search for the proper terms using the search feature. You can also refer to other porn entries in Wikipedia that are considered to be quality, encyclopedic entries.

You really shouldn't add "turn ons" and "turn offs" in the section, nor other things that can be considered unbecoming of an encyclopedia.

For instance, the following are encyclopedic:

  • names of children and spouses, as well as date(s) of marriage and the names of the spouse;
  • quotes from famous person(s) regarding the individual the article is focused on;
  • items reported in the news outlets are considered encyclopedic, tabloids and gossip publications are not to be considered bona-fide news sources.

And, logically, the following are not considered encyclopedic and should be excised from any self-respecting encyclopedia article:

  • names of animals;
  • favorite colors, foods, etc;
  • personal dislikes, such as "stinky men", "obnoxious drivers", etc;
  • lists of sexual partners, unless truly notable and otherwise newsworthy.

[edit] Movies

You can also name this section Filmography.

A list or statistic of how many productions the porn star has been in can be listed here. You may include non-explicit box cover images in this section only if the article has critical commentary regarding the person's appearance in the said film movie. (see WP:FAIR)

You can also include a short list of well-known productions in a bulleted list in order from oldest to newest. For example, use the following format:

  • Title 1 (year, role)
  • Title 2 (year, role)
  • Title 3 (year, role)
  • Title 4 (year, role)

[edit] Publications

List of or statistic of the number of publications the porn star has been seen in. Akin to the Movies/Filmography section, you can also include covers to magazines, as they are considered fair use. Or you can list them in the order from oldest to newest, in the format below:

  • Title 1 (issue number, year)
  • Title 2 (issue number, year)
  • Title 3 (issue number, year)
  • Title 4 (issue number, year)

[edit] Awards

A bulleted list of awards nominated or won by the person. Ordered by oldest to newest.

  • year: Award Title "Category"
  • year: Nominated for Award Title "Category"

Internal wiki links will go here. If they are truly important and deserve to stand out, then list them in a bulleted list.

Remember: List related articles in alphabetical order. Common nouns are listed first. Proper nouns are listed second.

  • Article 1
  • Article 2
  • List 1
  • List 2

[edit] External links

Another bulleted list of links. Avoid "fan sites" and pages that only list images of the person in question, they are inconsequential and can be researched using a search engine (e.g. Google).

Appropriate external links include the Internet Adult Film Database (using the iafd name template), IMDB (using the imdb name template, magazine sites (Playboy, Hustler, Penthouse, et al.), and the person's official site.

Next to sites that have potentially offensive material, i.e. depictions of sex or nudity, use a warning, such as the one in the example below:

The exception to the above rule is that you don't need to add a warning to links similar to the IMDB or iafd, as demonstrated below:
