Female on the Beach is a 1955 Universal-International film starring Joan Crawford, Jeff Chandler, Cecil Kellaway, Natalie Schafer, and Jan Sterling and is based on the play, The Besieged Heart by Robert Hill. Crawford plays Lynn, a widow who moves into her late husband's beach house, only to encounter trouble from various neighbors and love from a beach-bum.
