Female Iranian Vice Presidents — The requirements for running for the office of President of Iran has been traditionally interpreted to exclude females. The highest office held by women in Iran is the office of Vice President. To date there have been two women who have held this post: Fatemeh Javadi and Masoumeh Ebtekar.
