P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page. :)

In this case, you should be bold and add the {{Merge}} tag to the top of the cleft palate and cleft lip articles. Then, post an argument in favor of the merging on both the articles' talk pages; some of the information you added here was very convincing. Please see Template:Merge for what the tag looks like. Oh, and please also check what links to the Merge template to view examples of how the tag is used. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to bug me. :) Sango123 14:17, July 18, 2005 (UTC)
Well done! That was quick. Sango123 17:20, July 18, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Oosterscheldekering

Hi, nice work on the article! I only noticed after my second edit or so that you had written it all by yourself. I hope you didn't mind my comment re: 'could use copyediting by a native speaker', that was absolutely not meant in a negative way! --JoanneB 12:00, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

No offence taken! In fact, I'm happy that you corrected my mistakes - all the better for the quality of the article. Thanks Felsir 12:04, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Craniofacial Team

I've moved this to Craniofacial team and corrected the double redirect on Cleft but left your user page alone. Cheers.

[edit] Frits Philips

Hi, in the article Frits Philips the cleanup-verify tag was added. I do understand the reason for this, however I have a few questions about it. I am born in Eindhoven, much of the information is from the local newspaper. Since Frits was very popular his 100th birthday -and his recent death many articles were printed in the paper "Eindhovens Dagblad"[1]. I tried to add as many checkable sources with ISBN numbers. What is needed to give the article 'verified' status? What sections need verification or a source citation? Felsir 08:36, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

As a general rule of thumb, it is good to have at least two independent sources cited within every article on Wikipedia. This assists other editors by allowing them to verify the accuracy of the text and allow them to expand the article further as well. What you did was perfect, so I've gone ahead and removed the cleanup-verify tag. Best regards, Hall Monitor 17:11, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Mandyhaberman.jpg

Hello. Please explain why this image was released in the public domain. Thanks. --Edcolins 13:20, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

I e-mailed Mandy Haberman for details on her biography. She pointed me at the imagebank downloadable at her site[2]. I asked her if it was useable and she told me that the images at the imagebank were available for everyone as long as used unaltered and within the right context. So I figured, if it is free for download and use, it's public domain. The Haberman feeder image is from the same imagebank. Felsir 14:42, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:CleftLip3.png

Thanks for uploading Image:CleftLip3.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 03:02, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Fixed it. Since I made the image myself I added the PD-self template. Felsir 07:02, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Habermanfeeder.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Habermanfeeder.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Sherool (talk) 13:31, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Since my son's nutricion depends on a Habermanfeeder, I'll take a picture of the bottle I have at home. I assumed a publicly available press-kit image (which is subject to a fair use policy) supplied by Mandy Haberman herself would classify as a valid image for Wikipedia. I fail to see why an image I took myself would be better than one supplied for the purpose to show what a Haberman feeder bottle looks like. BTW. this has been subject for discussion before (see [3]) Felsir 13:02, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
I added a cross-section schematic how the bottle works and a picture of my son being fed with a Haberman Feeder bottle. Felsir 09:50, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:Wapenstoedenrode.png, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 16:42, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Media Molecule, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tikiwont 10:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Possible downgrading of A1 GP WikiProject to Taskforce status

Several users have started a conversation at WP:MOTOR about the possible downgrading of the A1 GP WikiProject to taskforce staus. I have notified you because your name is on the A1 GP Members list. The discussion is ongoing, and is located here. Davnel03 18:30, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SpecialForces box.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SpecialForces box.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. 17Drew (talk) 17:11, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SVG

If your request on the graphics lab is completed, could you add {{resolved}} to the top of the section (Above the images)? This way we know everything is done and that it can be archived to help keep the page clear for new requests. 68.39.174.238 (talk) 18:38, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

I see the resolved tagg has been added. Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of the procedure. Felsir (talk) 07:01, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] UrRu

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article UrRu, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Dear User: IMPORTANT WIKI ARCADE GAMES PROJECT NOTICE

As you should be aware the wiki arcade games project has been marked inactive and with good reason. I am trying to increase the activity of this project but first I need to know who is still actually interested. So to find out I have put inactive next to the name of every person who has put them selves down as a participant of the project. If for whatever reason you do not intend to participate in the project anymore please remove your name from the participant list altogether. If you do but not in the near future leaving inactive next to your username will be helpful. Not taking any action at all will of course lead to inactive remaining against your name on the participant list. If however you have every intention on continuing in participating in the project please come change the "inactive" next to your username to "ACTIVE" so that it is clear who does and who does not still have interest in participating in the project. Thankyou for your time. --Hybrid360 (talk) 20:15, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Oosterscheldedam.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Oosterscheldedam.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 22:12, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
