Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science is an honor accorded to distinguished scientists and a category of membership in the AAAS. Fellows are elected annually by the AAAS Council for meritorious efforts to advance science or its applications. Fellows have made significant contributions in areas such as research, teaching, technology, services to professional societies and communicating science to the public. They are made fellows to congratulate them and thank them for their services to science and technology.
