Lang was introduced in the season 2 episode, "Scan", as one of the FBI agents tasked with aiding Alexander Mahone in his pursuit of the Fox River Eight. Regarding her personal life, she has claimed to have no children as well as a brother with a history of drug abuse.
[edit] Appearances
[edit] Season 2
Lang was assigned to the Fox River Eight case about 2 days after the escape, as Mahone seemed displeased with some of the agents that had served under him until that time. She does not appear to have had any previous experience with Mahone. At first, she is assigned by Mahone to urge Kacee Franklin to betray her husband, which she seemed somewhat reluctant to participate in. Later, she does not hesitate in organizing a sting operation involving C-Note's wife in an attempt to capture C-Note and coldly threthens to get Kacee's daughter thrown in the foster care system if she does not agree to co-operate. Unlike Agent Wheeler, Lang never verbally criticized Mahone's methods and seemed supportive of his command over the task force. Thus, Mahone appeared to trust her more and assigned her to follow Sara Tancredi, who they hoped would lead them to Michael Scofield. They failed to track Sara back to the brothers after she realizes that she is being followed. After Sara surrenders herself to the FBI agents, Lang is forced to arrest her promptly. Although Lang initially seemed wary of Mahone and his unstable temperament, she later showed open concern for him when Internal Affairs- investigating Mahone's complicity in many deaths- closed in on him at the end of season 2. As Mahone fled the country to avoid being arrested, it is not revealed if Lang knew of his fate.
[edit] Season 3
Lang returns in Season 3 episode 6, Photo Finish, visiting Mahone, who was now incarcerated at a prison in Panama. She offered a deal to Alex (8 years) to try and get him back to the United States to testify in court. He first denied her offer, but then thought about his position in Sona. Lang later returns with Internal Affairs Director Richard Sullins and offers him another deal. Sullins now reduced it to 4 years minimum security prison, for a testimony against The Company and he then agrees. During the trip back to the U.S., Lang becomes aware of Mahone's drug adiction. He later confesses to her that he killed the fugitive Oscar Shales and later turned to drugs to escape his guilty conscience. Lang, as a favor to her former boss, obtains a bottle of the pills Mahone needs, but throws them away when she sees him testifying on the stand, obviously strung out and very irrational. As she is forced to return Mahone to Sona, Lang expresses the wish that he will serve his sentence, get clean from his drug-addiction and get out one day. As inspiration she gives him an old coin, once owned by her grandfather, as inspiration and a "good-luck charm".
