Talk:Federal Police (Austria)

[edit] National agency versus federal agency

I understand that Austria is a federation. Because the Bundespolizei has been constituted by the Austrian Federal Government, the Bundespolizei is a federal law enforcement agency. However, this agency by federal law is the one police force for the whole of the nation of Austria. Therefore the Bundespolizei is also a national law enforcement agency, that is it is a national police force.

Is my understanding correct?

it's unique, but i would stick with just federal because it's more like federal police than the french or spanish national police.ninety:one 14:01, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
