Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon is a game based on the TV series Mobile Suit Gundam which took place during the One Year War. This game allows you to play as various mobile suits and characters in the Mobile suit gundam series. There are three modes you can play Arcade mode, V.S mode, and Campaign mode. Arcade mode allows you to play two mobile suits you wish for(depends which side you are on). The first mobile suit you choose will be used on land battles. The second one you will used it for space battles. V.S mode allows two players to play on the same or opposite sides. You may enter your own name to play as you may also choose what map you wish to play on. Campaign mode set you up as a soldier in the one year war you type in your own name and battle the opposite force. Unlike arcade mode you do not have all of that forces' mobile suits. You can receive them by participating in test missions that involve that mobile suit. Exceptions are any captured mobile suits, the V Project suits (Gundam, Guntank, and Guncannon), and all of Char Aznable's mobile suits (Zaku II, Z'Gok, Gelgoog, and Zeong). If the player defeats Campaign Mode once, he will unlock Extra Mode, where the player will be granted top notch allied mobile suits and all mobile suits from the opposing side (i.e. a Zeon pilot can use GM, a Federation MS). However, the AI is much harder than in normal mode and if a suit is destroyed, it is not replaced. Also by beating the regular Campaign Mode, the player unlocks all opposing mobile suits in V.S. and Arcade Modes.
