Federico Daniel Merida was a Private in the United States Army.
On May 11, 2004, he shot a 17 year old Iraqi soldier 11 times with his rifle after they had consensual sex in a watch tower in Tikrit, Iraq. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 25 years in prison, given a reduction in rank and was dishonorably discharged.
