Federal Correctional Institution, Ray Brook

Federal Correctional Institution, Ray Brook is a medium security prison for males located in Ray Brook, northern New York, USA. The prison is located in the Town of North Elba in Essex County.

Ray Brook FCI employs 328. It is 3.5 miles southeast of Saranac Lake and 6 miles east of Lake Placid. It is located near the New York state medium-security prison, the Adirondack Correctional Facility.

During its construction, it was used as housing for staff and competitors at the 1980 Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid.
