[edit] Working definition

The working definition is, "films in the Star Wars series".--Pharos 02:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vital improvements

This topic satisfies current criteria just fine. -- igordebraga 22:57, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

This topic does not meet current Wikipedia:Featured topic criteria, and will be eligible for removal after 1 January 2008 if this situation is not rectified. In particular, a lead article (presumably Star Wars) must be found and improved to at least GA level. Alternatively, one could consider trying to improve Star Wars original trilogy and Star Wars prequel trilogy, and splitting the topic in two; but this is probably not a wise idea since one would also have to ensure that each of these two also have at least three FAs, and the original trilogy article fall short on this.--Pharos 02:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

It's still probably a not a good idea to split this in two (making Star Wars GA is probably easier than making both the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy GA), but I was probably overinterpreting a requirement for 3 FAs. Anyway, I think it might be a good idea to just designate Star Wars the lead immediately, so at least it's in the standard format, even if it isn't meeting criteria yet; is there any problem with this?--Pharos 06:09, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
The last time we tried that it failed, but if you want to give it another go, you'll have my support. It might pass if we try nominating it while specifically saying in the nomination that the topic is on provisional status anyway. --Arctic Gnome (talkcontribs) 06:47, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
I'd support doing so too because it would make people more likely to improve Star Wars if they see it needs improving.Pious7 13:46, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Definitely agree that this needs a proper Main articles ASAP. Circeus 18:42, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Also, following a disgraceful FAR for Episode II, it needs to reach GA/FA level again. igordebraga 14:20, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Potential improvements

Of course it would also be nice if Return of the Jedi was brought up to FA to complete the set.--Pharos 02:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Three other articles could also reach Featured status: Star Wars (GA), The Phantom Menace (GA and former FA, demoted after a disgraceful FAR) and Attack of the Clones (current GAC, also had a disgraceful FAR). igordebraga 22:57, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Possible additions

It is possible that articles on some characters, etc. could be added to this topic in future.--Pharos 02:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

How about the two trilogy articles, or stuff from Category:Lists of Star Wars characters? Circeus 18:38, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
