[edit] British monarchy
I was browsing the FAs and noticed a large number of British monarchs that were featured. I thought it might be worthy of being a featured topic and sure enough, the root article of British monarchy was featured as well. All articles listed above are FA. --Hemlock Martinis 07:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think you would have to include Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom as the current monarch, but that is not currently a GA.-gadfium 08:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose You can't just cherry-pick the best articles and the root article is FARC-bait.--Rmky87 12:33, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose - Your topic is missing far too many relevant articles. You should try a smaller topic, like a user did with Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/Stuart monarchs. --Arctic Gnome (talk • contribs) 17:23, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. Arctic Gnome is right. You should really aim for featuring a topic on one of the royal houses, such as Stuart or Hanover. See Wikipedia:Featured topic criteria for guidelines on the completeness of topics.--Pharos 03:53, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
