[edit] London Underground Zone 1

Original
Original
Reason
This SVG map is a geographically accurate version of the familiar Tube map of the London Underground. It's informative, clear and well-executed.
Proposed caption
Zone 1 (central zone) of the Underground (and DLR) network in a more geographically accurate layout than the usual Tube map, using the same style

  • Weak Oppose - from the image page: "NB: Routes between stations are interpolated and are not geographically accurate". Therefore it is not a "geographically accurate version of the familiar Tube map". It's a good map, but it'd be nice if we could see the routes the tunnels take as well as the layout of the stations. —Vanderdeckenξφ 17:10, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
    • You're quite right - the stations are geographically accurate but the lines are interpolated between them. In that respect the proposed caption is accurate, even if my reason was not quite so. Pstuart84 Talk 17:15, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose - Not really an interesting picture. 8thstar 19:58, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Comment - Font is quite large and often overlapping itself when I view it on my Mac. Not sure what is causing this. Kaldari (talk) 20:21, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose:It looks rather cluttered to me, plus I'd like a key that tells me what all the various colored lines represent --Hadseys (talkcontribs) 20:33, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
    • More information about the lines here. Pstuart84 Talk 23:45, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
      • Even so though, I think the information about the lines should be incorporated into the image itself somehow, for ease of reference --Hadseys (talkcontribs) 03:23, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose to this map-- this is a map of only part of the London Underground system. Spikebrennan (talk) 21:53, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
    • I'm not onto a winner here, but just for your interest, there is an equivalent map for the whole system here. Pstuart84 Talk 21:58, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
      • On both maps, what does the illegible gray lettering mean? It looks to me like: "Bob" (the word "Bob" crossed out). Spikebrennan (talk) 14:20, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
        • It's not lettering - it's a little picture of a train, to show that the Underground station is also a railway station. Pstuart84 Talk 22:54, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
