- Comment I uploaded a cropped and edited version. But, still both images seem "incomplete". Black and WhiteUSERTALKCONTRIBS 04:38, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Support edited version. The water is clearer and the ship's hull is truer colored. Staxringold 11:49, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose. No doubt about it's encylopedic value, which is (perhaps most) important, but I don't find it at all striking. bcasterline t 16:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Support In addition to being rather encyclopedic, I like the angle. --Lewk_of_Serthic contrib talk 20:15, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose. It's a ship. A good sharp picture of a ship, but still an uninteresting picture of a ship... -- P199 01:51, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- Unless you can provide some kind of reason for opposing (like bad lighting, blury angles, etc) I would ask that this vote be counted only as neutral. TomStar81 02:13, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- My reason is that it is an uninteresting picture. Not worthy to be a FP. -- P199 02:26, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- Support It would be cool to have a Navy ship as the featured picture -- BWF89 04:19, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, we do have a handful of nay ships that have reached featured status, among them two navy battleships and (if memory serves) one guided missile cruiser, but we have yet to feature any destroyers. I thought this one would be the best one to attempt an FP run because it gives a lot of detail to the ship. TomStar81 08:23, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose. I agree with P199: I just find it a bit dull. Stephen Turner (Talk) 06:50, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- Weak oppose - it's a nice pic of the ship, but it's pretty boring. I'm curious what BWF89 means by "it would be cool to have a Navy ship as the featured picture" - why would that be cool? Also, this wasn't taken by a Wikipedian, so I don't see much redeeming interest. Preference for the cropped version, fwiw. Stevage 10:02, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
