[edit] Wasps

'Spheksophobia' doesn't look very convincing. Shouldn't it be 'sphecophobia'? Or 'sphexophobia'? Soczyczi 16:36, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Strange spelling indeed. It looks like it was recently coined using a model "fear of x translates as x + o + phobia". I would go for "sphecophobia", but that word doesn't seem to exist (at least, so much is indicated by Google). I wonder how unreasonable a fear of wasps must be for it to count as a phobia anyway. They are poisonous and they are more likely to sting than bees are, so it is kind of natural to stay away from the animal. There doesn't seem to exist a Wikipedia article about it either.
