Fear of Flying is the second album by American R&B singer Mya, released in the United States on April 25, 2000 (see 2000 in music) on Interscope Records. The album features more big-name producers than Mya's debut and writing from Jimmy Cozier, Anthem, (Mary J. Blige, 2Pac) Mashonda & Teron Beal (Michael Jackson, Deborah Cox) It yielded the hits Case Of The Ex, "Best Of Me", and "Free". "Case Of The Ex" became Mya's biggest hit to date and went on to become the nation's best selling single. Due to the success of Case Of The Ex, Interscope Records re-released Fear of Flying with two new tracks "Again & Again" and "Free" on November 7, 2000. Free was even more pop-friendly and became quite successful at pop radio, MTV, and TRL. Fear Of Flying was supported with rigorous touring, bringing Mya dynamic fusion of dance with live vocals to audiences internationally. The album eventually went platinum in March 2001 and sold more than 1.2 million copies in the US, making it Mýa's second platinum plus album in the US.
