Prince Faysal al-Khalid is the son of King Khalid of Saudi Arabia, by a distant cousin, Sita bint Turki bin Abd al-Aziz bin Abdallah Al Damer. Prince Faysal received a traditional and religious education, is an avid equestrian enthusiast and breeder, and presently serves as Governor of Asir province, having been promoted from Deputy Governor on May 16, 2007. He is the Vice-Chairman of the King Khalid Foundation, a charitable organization established in 2001.
