Faxon Township is a township in Sibley County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 598 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 21.5 square miles (55.6 km²), of which, 21.0 square miles (54.3 km²) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²) of it (2.33%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 598 people, 188 households, and 156 families residing in the township. The population density was 28.5 people per square mile (11.0/km²). There were 193 housing units at an average density of 9.2/sq mi (3.6/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.33% White, 0.17% Asian, 1.00% from other races, and 0.50% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.00% of the population.

There were 188 households out of which 51.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.7% were married couples living together, 1.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.0% were non-families. 12.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.18 and the average family size was 3.54.

In the township the population was spread out with 34.9% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 33.1% from 25 to 44, 20.1% from 45 to 64, and 5.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 111.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 111.4 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $59,375, and the median income for a family was $63,500. Males had a median income of $37,625 versus $30,096 for females. The per capita income for the township was $19,632. About 1.2% of families and 1.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under age 18 and 14.3% of those age 65 or over.
