Favolaschia calocera or Orange Pore Fungi is a species of fungus found in Madagascar, New Zealand,Italy and Australia. The first reported sighting in Australia was in 2005. It is very common on the walk trails in Lamington National Park near to O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat.
The fungus presents as a bright orange stalked fan, 5mm-30mm diameter, with prominent pores on the underside.
Favolaschia calocera is thought to be native to Madagascar. It is an invasive species in New Zealand, where it may be displacing native fungi species.
