Talk:Faust and Marguerite

[edit] Title
Shouldn't this be called Faust and Marguerite? In any case we don't use titles like Mephistopheles, or Faust and Marguerite here. --Kleinzach 04:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- not when the composer gave it the title of 'Mephistopheles, or Faust and Marguerite'. I am sure that Mr Lutz would have been horrified to know that he gave his opera a title that did not fit Wikipedia convention. Perhaps we should also request that Ken Anakin changes the name of his film 'Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 Hours 11 Minutes' too.

- Kleinzach, just which online sources for the title are you preferring over STEPHEN BANFIELD. "Lutz, Meyer", Grove Music Online, ed. L. Macy (accessed Jan 8, 2008), grovemusic.com (subscription access).? Sparafucil (talk) 03:35, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
