Faux Pause was a television program that was aired from 1997-1998 on GSN. It was a program aimed to poke fun at game shows, in a similar way to Mystery Science Theater 3000. Some programs made fun of include Hot Potato, Chain Reaction, Double Talk, Bullseye and Camouflage. Its two co-hosts were Sean Donnellan and Mary Gallagher.
It was not received very well, as many thought the show was either tasteless, or just not funny. Others complained that they took too many pauses and edits, as many times the shows were being aired on GSN for the first time.
[edit] Reception
Time Magazine's Joel Stein felt that Faux Pause was "stunningly bad."[1]
