Faustus is a vampire in Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain. Once a member of Kain's army, he became a turncoat follower of the Sarafan Lord on Kain's defeat at Meridian. This saved his life and he was rewarded with control of Meridian's slums and smuggling den. He also became a merciless killer of his own kin, now an endangered race in Nosgoth thanks to the reborn Sarafan Order.
On Kain's return Faustus was the first of the traitorous vampires to confront his former master. After a hand-to-hand fight and the use of fire Kain tricked Faustus, who was momentarily engulfed before leaping to safety. Changing to a different strategy mattered little for Kain eventually weakened him, forcing him to the ground. Kain then proceeded to absorb Faustus's veins, gaining a new Dark Gift - the ability to jump to inhuman lengths.[1]
