Fausto Miño was born in 1981 in Ambato, Tungurahua, Ecuador, son of a quiteño father and a manabita (Chone) mother. He began to compose and play music at the age of 15, thanks to a neighbor's influence, with whom he learned to play the guitar. With only three chords he was able to compose 22 songs. Later he composed more songs, now he has 70 songs. He also participated in the movie of Tania Hermida "Que Tan Lejos",in which he was a supporting actor playing an egotistical and superficial character. Miño has many sides to his persona, and ever since his first appearance in "Miss Ecuador" he has shined as one of Ecuador's brilliant young musical talent. Because of his excellent work in the first "Festival Quito Música del Sol" he received the "Quinde de Oro" which took place at Itchimbía on August 12-13. He also participated in the promotion of "Enseñame y Aprendere", theme of the campaign Niñoesperanza de UNICEF and Ecuavisa. Now he is taking part of the Gamavision tv show "Bailando por un sueño", as he helps his partner accomplish her dream which is a very noble act.His role as a performer led him to show off his talent with his former friends.

Guido Ditto is his cousin. Alexandra Castillo calls him "El Churoncito"

Serracosteño : His first album has 8 songs. The name of the Cd is because of his roots. In this first album the cumbia and "son" rhythms prevail. He started to work in this album in 2003 with Diego Acosta. In the cd there are themes like Mara Rocío , Baila mi vida, Sometimes ok.
