[edit] Page Rename

I have renamed Fat Bastard to Fat Bastard (character) to distinguish it from the wine FAT bastard. This is in line with User:Cmh/List_of_page_titles_with_multiple_capitalizations --Barfbagger 19:10, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Character origin

Fat Bastard looks almost identical to a classic Doctor Who character "Shockeye", an androgum from the episode "The Two Doctors".

See the image at androgums.org.

The androgums were cannibals, and this character was especially eccentric and salivated over eating young, meaty humans.

The resemblance is striking. Maybe there's a cultural reference I'm missing that made them both think a fat cannibal is best played by a Scot, but even the dress and such are the same. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Optimike (talkcontribs).

[edit] ="1 metric ton"

"His extreme size (1 metric ton) endows Fat Bastard with [...]" He obvioulsy didn't weigh one metric ton, he looked more like 500 lbs (i.e. 1/4-1/5 of a metric ton). After getting skinny he for sure looked 180 lbs lighter than 500 lbs, i.e. he looked like 300 lbs. The "one metric ton" should thus not be taken literal, though the 180 lbs loss probably may. // Jens Persson (213.67.64.22 15:52, 27 October 2007 (UTC))
