Fatz Cafe is a casual dining restaurant operated by Cafe Enterprises, Inc. which is headquartered in Taylors, South Carolina. It is a regionally based restaurant with 41 total locations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. The first Fatz Cafe was opened in a converted peach shed in Spartanburg, South Carolina in November 1988, with the goal of offering a varied, reasonably-priced menu, with upbeat service in a comfortable environment. The company's current commercials feature the slogan, "This is our hometown Fatz Cafe." The restaurant states its two rules are: 1) Regulars are treated special and 2)Everyone's a regular.
The chain has experienced a sustained growth in the number of locations it has opened over the past few years, with most of the newer stores being constructed in Tennessee and North Carolina.
