Fathi Kamel Marzouq (born 1955) was one of Kuwait's most talented players in the late 1970s and early 1980s.[citation needed] He helped Kuwait qualify to the World Cup in 1982 by scoring a goal against New Zealand. Fathi also helped Kuwait win the Asian Cup in 1980. In Kuwait, it is said by old citizens that Fathi played in the Al Qadsiya vs. Santos FC, which Al Qadsiya lost 2-1.
