Fathering A Journal of Theory, Research, and Practice about Men as Fathers, is a peer-reviewed journal established in 2003 as the third of four published by Men's Studies Press and the first worldwide to focus specifically on fatherhood.

All journal articles are subject to a masked review process.

The Journal of Men’s Studies uses a masked review process. Authors are asked to include all identifying information in the cover letter, including the manuscript title, the authors’ names, institutional affiliations, and e-mail addresses. The first page of the manuscript should include only the article’s title, abstract, and keywords. Footnotes containing information that would reveal the authors’ identity and/or affiliation should be removed. Every effort should be made to see that the manuscript itself contains no clues to the author’s identity.[1]
