Fateh Jang

Fateh Jang (Fatehjang / Fatehjung / Fatehgarh / Fatehgunj / Fatehganj) is tehsil headquarters of Attock District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.

It is located nearly 25 miles (as the crow flies) southwest of Islamabad, Pakistan, on the Rawalpindi-Kohat or the Rawalpindi-Mianwali road. The new location of New Islamabad International Airport is on the Rawalpindi-Fateh Jang Road and construction has started.

Fateh Jang town is the headquarters of Fateh Jang Tehsil (a subdivision) of oil-rich Attock District[1]. It is in the National Assembly constituency from where Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was elected before taking oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan. It has a police station, a tehsil headquarters hospital and separate intermediate colleges for boys and girls.

It has a large glass industry Khawaja Glass Industries, Two Ghee Mills, Atta Mills, Bricks Bhattas, A food processing unit SAMARDAY ilyas, wise foods. A cattle market is held at Fateh Jang on every Thursday. Four roads originate from Fateh Jang which link this town with Kohat, Attock, Rawalpindi/Islamabad and Khaur. There are also some oil fields in Tehsil fatehjang. There are a number of development works underway in the town. The road passing through the town towards Kohat has been widened and cleaned. The local population is very friendly and welcome the new purchasers of plots in the town. There are great opportunities for the upper middle class of Rawalpindi/Islamabad to buy plots for themselves here and secure their future.
