How does FAST TCP work? And, what is the problem with traditional tcp?

What are comparisons to speed/capability differences between traditional tcp and fast tcp?

How was fast tcp tested? and are the results applicable to the networks we use on a daily basis?

who owns FAST TCP and how is it being deployed?

If anyone could help me that'd be great!

I strongly agree. To compare a transport layer protocol with a subnet protocol like modem or DSL is complete nonsense. It is like stating that an UPS-Express-Packet is much faster than a bicycle - Chris
