Talk:Farce Side Comedy Hour

Well whattaya know? They would have been more consistent if someone hadn't gone through with a weedwacker and removed and changed a bunch of them too. Cernansky 23:51, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Significance
Significance will be provided. I have been contacting the Farce Side alumni for at least 4 months to collect a list of alumni, which could help provide significance. I will detail the list of alumni by year, list of Emmys won by alumni and other significant alumni achievements. It is going to take time. Editing Wikipedia is not my full-time occupation.
I see that you have already expedited the speedy deletion of the Barren Mind article. Speedy deletion is unfair to the authors who worked on an article and unfair to the article itself, because there is no discussion, no time to fix anything, and no time to prove notability. People who work in official capacity in Wikipedia are here every day. The rest of us are not. I'm amazed that you didn't just yank this one out from underneath already. Stop making decisions without doing any checking for true notability yourself. I'm not mincing words but what else can I do? Is it even possible to save the deleted Barren Mind article? Cernansky 23:54, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Would a notable appearances section help with this as well? Last years Farce Side performed at the Implosion Showcase of the Chicago Improv Festival, and this year is scheduled to perform in the DC Comedy Festival and New York Sketch Comedy Festival. Krhorst 21:49, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] David Spade
Somehow I feel like I should have tied David Spade into the article. Rumor is that he was a member, but he was tight with Sterner in the early days and he did do a lot of standup shows for us. He came up with some sketch ideas that were written up by Joey Scazzola, I believe. Sterner is the authority on this. Cernansky 02:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Joey Scazzola says that Spade wasn't part of the group, just one of the guys that did the standup segment. Therefore, I've mentioned him as one of the standup guests. Furthermore, I've updated the David Spade article to clear up that question. Cernansky 17:14, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Alumni
Should there be an alumni list? Cernansky 00:35, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. It helps show notability.--Twintone 15:29, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Splinter Groups
I think we shouldn't discuss Naked or Everyone But Brian or any other groups that split off from Farce Side and died. There have been and will always be politics of this sort, but detailing every last one of these events is tedious and does not really provide any substance for Farce Side. Unless I hear a compelling reason to keep that sentence about Naked, I'm going to remove it. Cernansky 02:34, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
No compelling reason was provided, so I removed the reference to Naked. Cernansky 17:16, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
