Description
English: So-called “Farnese Diadumenos”: athlete tying the victor's ribbon around his head. Marble, Roman copy from the 1st century CE after a Greek original of ca. 440 BC attributed to Pheidias. The subject is similar to that of Polykleitos but varies slightly in stance.
Français : Diadumène Farnèse. Marbre, copie romaine du Ier siècle ap. J.-C., d'après un original en bronze attribué à Phidias. Le sujet est le même que celui de Polyclète, mais la pose varie légèrement.
Italiano: Cosidetto “Diadumeno Farnese”: atleta che si cinge il capo con la benda della vittoria. Marmo, copia romana del I sec. d.C. da un originale greco attribuito a Fidia. Il soggetto è simile a quello di Policleto, ma differisce leggermente nella posa.
