Faruk Iremet

Faruk Iremet, Swedish-Zazaish and Turkish author and journalist. Iremet was born in 1965 in Siverek in eastern Turkey. He writes in Zazaish, Turkish and Swedish magazines and has earlier published collections of poems in Zazaish, Turkish and Swedish. Faruk came to Sweden in 1986 and has a teacher - and an economy education. He has been editor for a numbers magazines. Faruk has also a publishing house and is member in Sweden's writers' association

Faruk Iremet was born in 1965 in the town Siverek in southeastern Turkey. The compulsory education he read in Siverek. The senior level and upper-secondary school he read in Diyarbakir. 1982 he began to work in the State authority YSE (Road, waters and electrical) as union secretary. There he stop because of military decisions. 1983 he began to study business economics on distance in the University in Eskisehir. At the same time, he began to work as teacher in the village Sati near Diyarbakir. Meanwhile, his poems and articles were published in different magazines. 1985 the Board of Education decided to forbid Faruk to conduct teaching because of the laws about risk for the country's security. This made that he begun to write even more. 1985 Yesil Yuruyus in Ankara gave him a prize for his articles.

1986 he came to Sweden. He read at the completed upper-secondary education, studied programmeringsspråket Pascal and trained himself to CNC-operator. 1988 he began to work in the Noble Industries as CNC-operator. 1989 he formed the publishing house SUK. Faruk Iremet has published his poems and articles also in Swedish in Falköpings Tidning, Folket I Bild and Snäckan. He has also been a meber in different magazines' editorial offices. 1994 he discontinued SUK and started Iremet publishing. 1995 he started, with some friends, the first magazine in the Zaza language - KORMIŞKAN-Bülten where he was the chief editor. The magazine was discontinued after six numbers because of economical reasons. Afterwards he started alone the magazine ZazaPress in April 2000. The years 1996 to 2000 he worked as computer teacher and held lectures. His different study material is still used by various authorities.

Since 2002 he works at the employment office rehabilitation in Globen in Stockholm. Faruk Iremet is member of Sweden's writers' association and the teachers' union.
