Farrington Volunteer Fire Department

The Farrington Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD) is a volunteer fire department located in Hanover County, Virginia. It was established in 1969. The FVFD operates at a three-bay 4,400-square-foot (409 m²) facility. The FVFD is # 11 and is part of Hanover County Fire/EMS.

The FVFD houses a engine,tanker,brush jeep, ambulance, and staff car.

The district chief is the highest ranking firefighter at the station. Next in the rank structure are two assistant district cheifs, know as "11-unit 9" and "11-unit 8." The the structure continues to down captain, Lieutenant, yellow helmet firefighter and lastly blue helmet firefighter.

FVFD is a volunteer organization with the exception of three career firefighters who aide the station during the weeksays.(7am-3pm). They are Deployed to the station from Hanover Fire/EMS.
